**Character Statement of Jason Davis**
*By Jason Davis*
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Jason Davis. I’m writing this letter to give you a fuller picture of who I am—not just as a professional, but as a father, a mentor, and someone who has always tried to do the right thing, even when it wasn’t easy.
I served in the U.S. Air Force, where I learned discipline and the importance of accountability. After my service, I built a career in network engineering, designing systems that hospitals, banks, and government agencies rely on. My work required trust—I held a TS/SCI clearance at AWS, worked on emergency response systems, and ensured critical infrastructure stayed secure. Mistakes in my field have serious consequences, and I’ve always taken that responsibility seriously.
But the role I’m most proud of is being a father to my son, Noah. Everything I do is for him. When he got interested in sailing, I helped him pursue it seriously—researching schools, connecting him with instructors, and even learning alongside him. When he wanted to understand cloud networking, I set up labs for him to practice. I’ve spent weekends teaching him to code, taking him to the pool to practice scuba skills (I’m an SSI assistant instructor), and showing up for every moment I could, even if it meant turning down work.
I’ve also tried to give back—coaching Cub Scouts, certifying as an EMT, and volunteering as a swim instructor. I believe in stepping up, not just for my own family, but for my community.
I understand the severity of the situation before the court, and I take it with the gravity it deserves. My life has been defined by responsibility—to my country, my profession, and most of all, to my son. I’m asking only for the chance to continue being the person Noah depends on, the person my community trusts, and someone who learns, grows, and makes amends when needed.
Sincerely,
*Jason Davis*
