# Air_Fryer_Cauliflower_with_Turmeric_and_Cumin.md
## Ingredients:
- 1 medium head of cauliflower (about 1.5 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)
## Instructions:
1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3-5 minutes.
2. Wash the cauliflower and pat it dry. Cut it into bite-sized florets, aiming for uniform sizes to ensure even cooking.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together the avocado oil, turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
4. Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl with the spice mixture. Toss well to coat all the pieces evenly.
5. Place the seasoned cauliflower in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
6. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time. The cauliflower should be tender and golden brown with crispy edges when done.
7. Once cooked, transfer the cauliflower to a serving bowl and immediately drizzle with lemon juice. Toss gently to distribute.
8. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro if using.
## Notes:
- We've switched to avocado oil due to its high smoke point (520°F), making it ideal for air frying at high temperatures.
- The cooking temperature has been adjusted to 380°F, which is the recommended temperature for vegetables like cauliflower according to the air fryer guide.
- Cooking time has been slightly extended to 15-20 minutes, as per the guide's recommendation for similar vegetables.
- Remember to preheat your air fryer for best results.
- Arrange the cauliflower in a single layer for even cooking.
- Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model. Keep an eye on the cauliflower towards the end of cooking to avoid burning.
- For extra crispiness, you can cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, but watch carefully.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes to crisp them up again.
Enjoy your air fryer cauliflower alongside your Lentil & Chickpea Curry and lentil flatbreads for a delicious, well-rounded meal.
